Windows requires an intel chip. Microsoft has a pre release version of an ARM version of Windows but it is not available to the general public and it is never a good idea to use beta operating systems in a non test-only environment.
Maybe a question for the developers/distributors of Tradestation.
Sorry - To clarify. My MacBook Air M1 2020 came installed with Boot Camp Assistant yet when I click on it, it says that it will not work with this Mac? Looks like I cannot load Windows onto my MacBook Air because it has an M1 Chip and not an Intel Chip?
I am guessing that the community would have known upfront when I stated that I had a MacBook Air with M1 chip that neither bootcamp nor windows would work on this particular model. I wonder why? Is windows simply incompatible with the M1 chip?
Correct. Neither Boot Camp nor Windows works on the M1 Macs. But you did not ask about Boot Camp or Windows.
