can I update my MacBook Air to the new IOS i am currently on High Seria version 10.13.6 with no available software updates?

Back up your data, check your applications for compatibility, and if your MacBook Air model is recent enough, click on Mojave, Catalina, Big Sur, or Monterey. They're full-version upgrades and won't appear in the Updates list.
