Watch just updated to watch OS 8.3 and battery will only last a couple of hours before it is drained?
Why is my watch battery draining so fast after updating to OS 8.3? It now goes completely dead after a couple hours.

If the battery drains too fast after an update, see all the replies to:

FWIW, in some cases, unpairing the watch, completely erasing it, then pairing and restoring the backup will resolve the battery draining issue after an update. (Simply unpairing and pairing again may not work.)

Also, some people have found that simply waiting a few days after an update resolves the battery draining problem.
I have tried both these steps and the problem still persists. It has to be the 8.3 update that introduced this behavior. Hopefully apple issues a 8.3.1 update to fix this soon!
I installed the update this morning and have the same problem. My watch is down to 10% again for the second time today; this has never happened before with any other update.
I’m not sure if it’s a battery drain issue or a charge issue. I keep putting it on charger but every time I check it’s no longer charging. Must be OS 8.3. It’s the only thing that has changed.
Same here my SE completely dies after about 3 hours. I’ve done the unpair and reset and it hasn’t helped at all.
Hope for fix as its a problem since 8.3
I hve the same issue. My watch would keep up for two days before the 8.3 update but now it wont even go half a day without needing to be charged. What do I do about it?
I think it’s designed to drain the battery so we can buy more products! Once my phone is paid off going back to android! All my friends never experience what we experience.
friend has problem with 3rd party charger
My phone drains within 6-8 hours
my apple watch not phone :) cannot edit post for some reason
I am having the same problem! I have turned everything off to save my battery. What is going on?
Mine is going dead too. The day after the update to 8.3, this started.
exactly, they know it.
No way it's not on purpose.
8.4 b1 doesn't solve it.
Yes be nice if they allowed you to go back one version for all of their stuff.
Bloody auto update.. Then you turn it off like people I know and never update
Once it's fixed (if it ever does) I uncheck that as fast as I can.
Well i were on 15.2 even before updating the AW so it has nothing to do with it.
you're just lucky.
it was exactly once I upgraded the watch
