iPhone won't operate my front door buzzer iOS 15

Since I updated to iOS 15 last week I can no longer dial 9 when the delivery person is at my gate, the dial pad maxes out at 2 seconds I need about 5 to unlock the gate can anyone offer any ideas I have the 2020 SE iPhone very frustrating! No jokes please this annoying as ****, I've spent a long time researching and called apple to help but of course there was no help.

I had a similar issue in my building. Turned out it was the system. We had enough folks complain as they switched from landline to cellular only that they finally upgraded the system and ensured units had a landline to unlock.
