Forgot Password For MacBook Pro and Can Not Recover

Help please. I forgot the password to my MacBook Pro. I went to Recovery Assistant to reset it, but it says it can’t connect to the server to accept my Apple Password because my MacBook isn’t connected to my wi-if. It always connects automatically. A banner appeared telling me to goal to the Tool Bar and connect to wi-if, but I can’t get to the Tool Bar to connect it until I can get into my MacBook. Please advise. I’m desperate to open my MacBook. Thanks, Rick

Hello Rick9948,

We see you're looking to reset your Mac's Admin password, and we'd like to help out.

We'd recommend starting with the steps here, which may help out: If you forgot your Mac login password

If those steps don't help, try continuing along with the ones here instead: If you can't reset your Mac login password

We hope that helps out.

Take care.
