What is this symbol? It appears in the lower right side on some pics that I have taken with my iPhone12Pro Max. I know it’s used to scan words when texting, but when it’s on a photo that I have taken, it turns blue when I touch it but nothing else.
If it shows up, how can I remove it?

That symbol will appear at the bottom right corner of a photo when you are viewing a photo that has some text in it. When you touch that symbol, then it will turn blue after it has highlighted all the text in the photo. You can then select the text in the photo and copy it to clipboard. If you want to reverse this action, then you can touch the symbol again and it will go back to its colorless state. You can then tap anywhere on the photo itself and the symbol will go away. You can do this right from the beginning when you see the symbol.
