Can I plug a CD player to record cds on iPad

How do I transfer cds onto iPad Pro .is this just a case of connecting the correct cable ?

No.

iPads are NOT a full laptop/desktop computer.

No iPads have the internal power or internal driver software ( no way to install, either ) to run external CD/DVD/Blu-Ray disc players or disc burners.
