Startup boot options not recognizing bootable USB stick

Hello,

I created a bootable USB Stick with BalenaEtcher, but it's not being recognized in the Startup Options.

Please check the two images below

I'm on an Apple Mac Mini 2020, running on macOS Big Sur 11.6.

Please help me out :)

Thanks,

BrianW

Linux won't currently boot an M1 Mac. Plus you are likely using an Intel version of Ubuntu which definitely won't work on an M1 Mac. In addition, the method to boot an M1 Mac is a bit different than the Intel Macs.

There is experimental Linux support with Asahi Linux, but this is still an early in progress work to get Linux working on an M1 Mac:
