HomePod with the latest version of software

802.11 Wi-Fi Internet access

You need an iOS device to set up HomePod.

Apple says in Set up and use HomePod mini and HomePod

You can't set up HomePod with Mac.

Thanks chaps. I received a Mini yesterday and had a lot problems with my iOS12 XR to setup device and had some hope to do it on M1 Air. Very disapointing. Eventually succeeded with 6s with iOS15 (that btw I find so dysfunctional, uglly and hard to read otherwise with the new widgets system and missing Remote and FMF apps and don't want on my main phone).
