Apple TV

I purchased an Apple TV a number of years ago. Yesterday I purchased a new iPhone 12. My TV is now telling me I have to update my Apple ID settings, however it will not let me open to do this. What should I do?

Something about the Apple ID account information is thought to be not (no longer) correct or valid or complete. Possibly something about the payment method (check for card expiration).

Try signing out for both the Store and for iCloud, then sign in again.
