Three Things...

A. Look Up the Battery Health:

When the Battery Health is 80% or lower, it is time for a new battery.

  1. Go To: Settings
  2. Tap: Battery
  3. Tap: Battery Health
  4. View: Percentage

B. Battery Percentage:

As for a battery percentage, go here, the following list mentions possible reasons, and how you can/could have avoided this. Go Here: Maximizing Battery Life and Lifespan - Apple Support. Note that batteries typically drop 1-3% right out-of-the-box. So, a 2% drop seems normal.

C. Battery Health Can Differ:

As for the percentage, Apple recommends you get a new battery when the Battery Health reaches 80% or lower. So, you are set for now. It's all just a guestimation on Apple's part - all batteries are different.
