MM/DD/YYYY birthdate format iOS

My birthday is in September. The majority of the forms that I fill out on line that require my birthdate have the MM/DD/YYYY format. 2 digits for the month and the day and 4 digits for the year - 09/08/1958. The iOS system sets the birthdate by selecting the month, day, and year - September 8, 1958. This translates to 9/08/1958 when auto populating forms on line. Is there a way to change it so it appears 09/08/1958? I have not found a way to add the “0” to the date so it reads 09/08/1958 instead of 9/08/1958.
