Having problems with installing ios 15.2 upgrade

Question: I have tried to update ios 13.5.1 to 15.2 but at the end of installing I get a message ("Unable to install update. An error occurred installing ios 15.2"). I am trying to do this in Japan.

The new ios downloads and then goes into "preparing update" mode. After it has finished preparing, the "install button" appears and I press "install." After awhile it comes back with the error message.

There is enough storage available, I am using wifi, and my phone is plugged into an electrical outlet.

I would appreciate any help, suggestions, or advice.

Since the device is running a very old iOS version, I suggest that you try to update your iPhone via computer (if you don't have a computer borrow one from your friends/neighbors, or ask for help at an Apple Store or Authorized Service Provider), then learn how to update your device manually if you're using a Mac with macOS Catalina or later, or if you're using a Mac with macOS Mojave or earlier or a Windows PC.
