I have Monterey 12.1 and Xcode 13.2. I cannot upgrade to 13.2.1. Why do I have to download a 12.6GB install for a 0.0.1 patch upgrade to Xcode. Learn to Patch Apple, these downloads are crazy.
I have removed 13.2. Killed the installd. But every time I try to install 13.2.1 it stalls at 12.58GB download/install.
I need this to compile my code and I'm stuck.
Okay here's an actual solution:
sudo killall -9 installd; sudo killall -9 storeagent
then restart your Mac, pray and install your app again.
Ofc, make sure you run the last version of MacOS.
Edit: I just called Apple to report it, none of the Apps I was trying to install were finishing the installation part even though it was on a M1 Pro 10C freshly received yesterday.

OK further to the OP. I killed installd again and the install was actually complete. I opened Xcode and version is now 13.2.1
I'm in the 12.58 GB club too, and killing the installd didn't help in my case. If anyone has any further thoughts please let me know -- thanks!
