i cannot remove sim card

I cannot remove my sim card from iPad

iPad, iPadOS 15

You will require either a SIM removal tool - or an unfolded paperclip. It may take considerable pressure on the tool, keeping your fingers away from the SIM slot, to eject the SIM tray.

It says do not use too much force. I almost bent the extractor provided. I will take it in to the Verizon store tomorrow.
