new iphone 12

last week i bought a new phone and when i tried recording it sounded like there was a motor or something recording in the background i tried taking kf my case however the sound is still there. I tried charging it to 100% and recording but still the audio is muffled and bad. Is my phone broken?

Excessive White Noise and Static with any recroded audio with Iphone 8plus I can be in a silent room and the recorded audio will have sooooo much white noise and static. I used to think this was all iphones however ive seen countless videos of people using iphones as a recording device who do not get this problem. iphone sound When i record a video it sounds really muffled like the sound is very low. i have no problem if i play something or the volume of a video. i do however have a problem on a phone call as when i’m on a phone call it’s too quiet i can’t hear unless it’s on speaker

Start here:

Get help with the microphones on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

Then test with the Voice Memos app.

If no help, have it checked:
