A couple of years ago I removed an old iphone from my Apple ID. Now I want to erase it to give it away but it asks me to sign up with my Apple ID. When I do it it doesn't recognize my password. How can I erase it without signing with my Apple ID?

If you are not the owner and do not have the Apple ID and Password then there is no way that you can get into this iPhone unless the original owner shares the Apple ID and password with you. If you are lucky you can get into this iPhone if they (owner) accidentally remove the device from their Apple ID.

I did remove this phone from my Apple ID account years ago and I know the password for the Apple ID but when I enter it in this old phone when trying to erase and reset, it shows as incorrect. I know it is correct because I can enter in other devises and also log in iCloud with my browser.
How can I erase it and reset it if it's not recognizing the correct Apple ID password?
