Final Cut Pro - Education Purchase

I'm considering the purchase of a new MacBookPro to replace my ageing iMac (a mid-2011 model that still works well but has fallen off the MacOS support cliff). It's also getting messages to update the OS from a few apps, as well (including MS Office 365).

I'm retired, but I do some part-time work for the local college and have a college email and ID, so I'm eligible for the Apple educational discounts. I currently edit video for a local charity and a church - in iMovie but would like to switch to FCP as it should ease syncing audio tracks that are often recorded separately. If I buy the FCP software bundle offered on the education store, will I be able to use it under my own Apple ID? (or will I need to set up an "educational" login)?

Thanks.

You can buy it under your own Apple ID.

If you qualify for the education bundle purchase, then once you made the purchase the software is yours to use, just as if it had been purchased directly from the App Store.

You only have to purchase the bundle (which is an amazing deal - also including Motion, Logic Pro, Compressor and MainStage),

then you'll get the codes by e-mail, and redeem them at the App Store. They will be associated to your Apple ID.
