HomeKit Video Streaming (not recording)

I have a 200 gb iCloud plan and have no interest in paying for a 2TB plan. I have one Eufy camera on HomeKit that both streams and records. I would like to add more cameras that would stream only, but would not record.

Is that possible, or would the addition of cameras beyond one, require I subscribe to the 2 TB iCloud plan. I know I could always view the additional cameras in the Eufy app, but would like to get them all in one place - the HomeKit Home.

Hey there Bobmoore,

Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities with this question regarding adding more cameras to HomeKit. You can check out the requirements for adding a device to HomeKit here:

Add a HomeKit accessory to the Home app

Is the concern that the video will be recording and taking up iCloud storage? You may want to reach out to Eufy support for info on if this is something that has to occur.

Take care.

I was incorrect about the camera limits in HomeKit's secure video. But it appears you must have a paid subscription to iCloud to add cameras to the Home app. Since I have a 200 gb plan, that's enough for me to install the camera's I'm interested in having (5).
