URL does not work
I cannot get the bureau of Meteorology on my iPad, but can on my iPhone or my wife’s iPad. Safari, Chrome and Google gets same result and I do not have screen time turned on.

Is the Norton item providing a VPN? If so, this may contribute to the issue. I read a couple other threads here on these forums where a VPN was at fault for not fetching web pages. Can you test by disabling the VPN and trying again to see what happens?
EDIT: I tried manually typing in your URL and my iPad Pro (12.9”, 5th gen) went to the appropriate page immediately.
This one work? http://www.bom.gov.au/
Yeah, the link in the OP’s first reply didn’t include the “.au”.. so the URL wasn’t complete for that region.
That fixes it:)
It is a 4th gen iPad up to date and my iPhone is an 8 Pro up to date and it has Norton with the VPN active but does get the web site...weird?
Thanks guys for all your help.
Hi Chris, sorry for the delayed reply as I was busy over Xmas.
Settings on iPads and iPhones identical as far as i can see. It says invalid URL. for www.bom.gov.au
It lists 4 possible problems and all relate to the URL, yet I am using Google to search for the URL and clicking the link?
manually typing it in makes no difference.

For all we know it could be the difference in how the iPhone and iPad load websites - iPhones load a mobile version of a site while the iPads load a desktop version.
Anyway, I’m glad the issue is resolved.
In case this helps, this link works on my M1 iPad Pro 12.9” (5th gen).
Likewise for me, but the one from the OP gave me an error message, then routed me to the correct site.
I actually did add the .au prior to my initial post. The error message shown below was provided.
Ah, ok, it looks like the BOM doesn’t support transport layer security (the “s” in https).
I have tried...http://www.bom.gov.au manually and does not work. I also have Norton and am wondering if it is blocking the redirect? Though, I should add that I have Norton on my phone as well.
That sounds logical. Thanks a lot.
Are you seeing an error when you try to go to the URL? Check any settings between the iPhone and iPad that may be different when it comes to Privacy or Safari?
