iPhone dock

Hello,

Is it possible to remove the dock from the iPhone home screen? If not, is it possible to change the color of it, or do anything else that will allow it to blend in with the wallpaper? It takes away from pretty much any photo used as a wallpaper =/

Just in case: What I am referring to as the “dock” is the somewhat transparent gray bar at the bottom of the home screen, that holds 4 apps. I believe that is the correct name for it, based off of a few unsuccessful Google searches.

For what it’s worth: I did try searching here as well, and I did not find anything that was relevant and/or recent.
