My phone has the latest iOS my watch is fully charged and on charging station and my both are connected to wifi

Are you sure the Watch is paired to the phone? See this support document, especially the part towards the bottom about If you need help updating. Update your Apple Watch - Apple Support
Good to hear what you have said, but you do not share why it won't update. In other words, what happens when you try to update? Do you see an error on the iPhone, do you see anything on the Watch screen?
The phone is saying my watch needs to be charge more then 50% , it’s at 100%. Also needs to be connected to wifi and both the phone and watch have full bars on wifi thanks
