Can someone tell me what is the latest operating system I can run on my MacBook Pro (15-inch, Late 2011)? And any other improvements to improve efficiency? What can I do to minimize how often the fan runs? More deets:

Processor: 2.4 GHz Intel Core i7
Memory: 8 GB 1333 MHz DDR3
