Letter “r” showing up in contacts

Over the last few weeks I have noticed a lowercase “r” showing up randomly in the address and notes section of the contact on my iPhone. I use Google Contacts and sync with Microsoft Outlook using 4Team’s Sync software to sync contacts and calendar. It only happens with random contacts but seems to be getting worse.

Any idea why this is happening?

I doubt if that has anything to do with the iphone which does not perform any synchronising. It is all done on the web using the three entities you mentioned. iPhone contacts app is simply a client to read and update what is in the web database.

Yes, I use a third party application from 4Team called Sync2 which allows Google Contacts to sync with MS Outlook. Their tech support say it’s a known issue of theirs but no current solution.

If you use their application too, then we have to wait for a software update or patch.
