it could be that the card was compromised and not added to a device at all. Contact your card issuer and report the theft. If you see 'apple.com/bill' on your billing statement

What makes you think that someone added your own card to your own Apple Pay? Did you get a new device?

My son got a new device.

someone took $1000 in 4 transactions all within 1 minute of each other. We don’t have any idea who the recipient was or how the card was added
