How can I request that cross country skiing be tracked for distance?

Cross Country Skiing should be an activity tracked for distance just like running or biking or hiking or walking. Who would I make this request to? I am sure there are many other nordic skiers out there who would also like to track their ski distances.

Apple Fitness Cross Country Ski doesn't map, doesn't record distance Apple Fitness "Cross Country Ski" doesn't map the route & doesn't record distance - basic GPS functions. I know there's other Community answers out there suggesting you simply use "Outdoor walk" or "Hike" or a different option. But why can't THIS option be fixed? Running, walking, bicycling, hiking, etc - all record distance and map. Isn't it simply a matter of adding the same GPS programming function to Cross Country Ski that all these other options use?
