is there still a way to get this app that used tobe available via the app store but has recently been dropped off? I have a Cowin speaker that uses it but whenI updated to iphone 1 recently didn't copy that app over so I cannot use my speakers now.

No.
If the app is no longer available in the App store, then you cannot download it. If your speakers rely on this app in order to function, then you cannot use the speakers anymore.
