Why is my orange light(microphone in use indicator) still lit if I’ve closed all of my apps?
iPhone 12 Pro Max, iOS 15
TOUCH & PULL DOWN from the Top Right Corner of your screen. This will reveal the Control Center. At the very top, does your iPhone state which app may be still stuck using the microphone?

Ha! Nah, do get paranoid yet. Let’s fix this thing. This could be a result of a misbehaving app in the background.
Try and Force Restart your iPhone EXACTLY as shown below and see whether that resolves the issue:

Omg…. I don’t know how, but it was the wallpaper I had the whole time. I don’t even know how. I took a screenshot of one of my photos so that it would have black borders around the picture to make it fit better as a wallpaper, and somehow the orange dot of all things, stayed in the screenshot, nothing else. You’re a god 😂.
Understood. Hey, can that microphone orange dot indicator be a part of the wallpaper that you may have created? Just double check. Furthermore, are you able to post a screenshot of your Home Screen here? Thanks.

In reply to your question, the answer is no. The control center doesn’t tell me which app - if any - is utilizing my microphone incessantly. I’m going to start being paranoid in a minute soon…lol🙂
Sorry for the late response, but I’ve just tried this twice and the mic indicator is still there. Thinking I might bring it into Apple😕.
