apple headphones suddenly quiet and has no bass

so after finding my apple headphones, found that the bass and volume are gone.

i cleaned them, checked the wire, and even cleaned my iphones charging port but there’s no difference.

i turned on headphone accommodations and made sure my volume limit was as high as it could be, but they still are pretty quiet. im able to hear everything happened around me even at full volume. along with this the audio sounds scratchy.

is there anything else i should try before throwing them out for a new pair?
