the m1 is an arm cpu, the normal windows is an operating system with binaries meant for the intel x86 based cpu

arm cpu code will not run on an x86 cpu

some people have success using the virtual machine software from parallels along with the developer beta test version of microsofts arm based windows 10 which they do not sell to end users.

but for normal users, it would be a better path to get an intel cpu mac if running windows on it is mission-critical
