install helper not working

i'm trying to download some audio plugins. when i click the download button, the install helper asks me for my password but when i enter the password (correctly) it closes instantly and doesn't carry out the install. i recently used a mac cleaning app (stupidly) and i fear it has wiped something it shouldn't have.

can you help?

thanks

Hi everyone,

If the above solution don't fix this issue you can try the following:

Open terminal, copy and paste the below command and hit enter. Run the app.

sudo launchctl enable system/com.spitfireaudio.LibraryManagerHelper

If it fails, get in touch with us via a support case and we will look over the permissions relating to this problem which will likely require remote access.

Thanks

Jack

Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at startup), does the problem occur in Safe Mode? Could take 10 minutes.

Safe mode attempts to repair Disks & clears lots of caches & loads safe Drivers, & prevents loading of 3rd party extensions, so if Safe Mode works try again in regular boot.

To find out if it's system wide or user specific, try this...

Open System Preferences>Users & Groups, unlock the lock, click on the little plus icon, make a new admin account, log out & into the new account.

Does it work in the new account?

so, the arturia software centre is installed on my computer already. in that app, there is a list of plugins i can install. when i click on install from there, a window pops up that says "Arturia Software Centre is trying to open a new helper tool. Enter your password to allow this."

I enter my password, the window closes and nothing happens.

Thanks again for your time and help with all this!
