Hi all,
I cannot seem to enable the setting that allows my Watch to unlock my Mac.
Upon ticking the checkbox for this setting under System Preferences, I am greeted with the following message:
However, I already set up iCloud long ago.
Not sure what else left there is to do--both devices are signed in to the same Apple ID, software is updated on both, the whole shebang.

In the thread suggested by Murph Sewall, If the "Solved" thread does not work for you, then make sure you read through the other replies, as there are many offered solutions which have worked for other users.
True, but which simple solution? Sometimes it's restart the watch or restart the computer or even restart the iPhone. It would be nice if Apple's code could keep it from forgetting the connection in the first place.

Thank you. Turns out all I had to do was sign out then back into Apple ID on my Mac. The simplest solution truly is the correct one, haha.
