AUDIO QUALITY DOESN'T APPEAR IN MENU SETTINGS of apple tv

Model A1625

Lossless audio is available with Apple TV 4K (A1842/A2169) (with tvOS 14.6 or later) with lossless capable audio systems.

Spatial audio is available with Apple TV 4K (A1842/A2169) (with tvOS 14.6 or later) with Atmos capable audio systems.

Spatial audio is available with Apple TV 4K (A1842/A2169) (with tvOS 15.0 or later) with select headphones and HomePods.

Sample rates greater than 48 kHz are currently not supported with Apple TV 4K. 24-bit is supported when available with Apple TV 4K.

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. We understand that you seem to be missing Audio Quality settings in your Apple TV and we'd like to help.


Just so we are on the same page, are you referring to these specific settings as mentioned in the resource linked to your response: About lossless audio in Apple Music

What you need

How to turn lossless on or off

  1. Go to Settings > Apps.
  2. Select Music.
  3. Select Audio Quality.
  4. Select or unselect Lossless. Apple TV 4K currently doesn’t support Hi-Res Lossless (sample rates greater than 48 kHz)."



Do you have an Apple Music account? If so, make sure you have restarted your Apple TV and checked again: Restart Apple TV - Apple Support
