I try to download an app and it says verification required then I sign in and it just takes me back

We understand you can't get past the verification to start making purchases. We're happy to offer some guidance.

If when you press "continue" it doesn't take you to your payment information, you can access it by going to Settings > your name at the top > Payment & Shipping. Select the payment method you have set up for the iTunes & App Store, then make sure there is no missing information. Typically, if you're getting the verification prompt, there is some information missing from your payment and the missing info section will be highlighted in red.

Change, add, or remove Apple ID payment methods

If you're still unable to get past the verification message after that, we'd recommend contacting Apple for assistance: Get Support
