Anyone knows why my mac air battery lose all the charge overnight and few minutes on the power adapter the charge jump up to where ever the charge was when it went to sleep.

Model A-1466: The battery goes to zero overnight. The charge goes up to whatever it was before going to sleep after plugging in power for few minutes. It seems like it was not really loss the charge but status bar goes to zero. I cannot turn the computer on unless it plugs in for a few minutes like a couple minutes. Once it goes up to the charge I left it at and it would be on the whole day without the power cord plugged in. At one time I had the battery charged up to 100% and monitor it whole day by just checking the charge status and let it sleep again. Last time I checked it before going to bed was at 2200. It was at 100% at my last check but when I checked it at 0800 the next morning it was down to zero.
I put a new battery a couple months ago. I did not notice it going down to zero until recently.
Maybe I will turn the power off tonight and check if the inactivity drain the battery. It could be the new battery I put in.
Hopefully you can help me on this.
Thank you
Thank you very much for helping me. The computer battery was down to 7% this morning after I shut it down last night. It really lost the charge because it took awhile to charge back up not like when it was sleeping where the charge went up after it was charging for a couple minutes. I am just waiting for response from the company I got the battery from to return it and get a replacement.
Thanks again for the help.
Then it may be possible that this replacement battery is defective or not installed properly. As such, I would suggest that you return it for either a replacement or a refund.
Which exact model is your MacBook Air? Does it still have its original battery? Did you check its current battery health?
Who installed the new battery ... Apple, a third-party, or you? If you installed it, where did you get it from?
I installed it myself. It is from SNSYIY.
The battery has 25 months warranty.
