why is there a window at the bottom of my email on my iPad and how do i get rid of it? I

When I check and opening my email, I have a window at the bottom of the screen that says “draft”. Even though I haven’t typed anything, it’s always there in the way. My pop up blocker is on and I’ve restarted multiple times but it remains there. I also don’t remember it being there before updating to iOS 15.2. I appreciate any assistance on how to delete it. Thanks!

iPad, iOS 9

Hi pittbarber45,

Thanks for coming to Apple Support Communities for help today. It sounds like you are seeing a small Mail icon labeled "Draft" at the bottom of your iPad screen.

It sounds like this is related to multitasking. the pop-up blocker would have no effect: Use multitasking on your iPad.

"Use the shelf on your iPad

When you switch to an app that has multiple windows open, the bottom of your iPad screen shows a shelf containing thumbnails of all the app's windows.

Tap one of the thumbnails to open the window. You can also swipe up on a thumbnail in the shelf to close that window. In some apps, you can also open a new window by tapping New Window  in the shelf."

You may be able to disable this preview by visiting Settings > Home Screen & Dock and deselecting Show Suggested and Recent Apps in Dock.

You can always leave Product Feedback regarding this feature.

Have a fantastic day!
