How do I get my Apple Pencil to work after replacing tip?

When you replace the Tip of an Apple Pencil, it does not require to be paired (connected) to your iPad again. Did you purchase the tips that are sold by Apple or did you buy a third-party product? Was the Apple Pencil working before you changed the tip?
