Cannot save as, cannot upload from a lot APP, only can do it in Safari

Hi there,

I am in macOS Monterey, 12.0.1

From 3 days ago, I just find that I cannot "save as" anything from apps like Chrome, Wechat, etc, also, cannot use upload function to upload images, files to sites like Facebook, even this forum.

The symptom is: after right click image/files from app > save as, no any responding, no dialog box pop up. Same, after clicking "image insertion" in this forum or upload image icon in Facebook, nothing pop-up, no responding at all.

But in safari has no problem at all.

Before this week, everything goes well.

Do you have similar issue and any idea how to resolve it?

I've tried to restart, re-install, re-login.

Give this a try: boot into Safe Mode according to How to use safe mode on your Mac and test to see if the problem persists. Reboot normally and test again.

NOTE: Safe Mode boot can take up to 3 - 5 minutes as it's doing the following;

• Verifies your startup disk and attempts to repair directory issues, if needed

• Loads only required kernel extensions (prevents 3rd party kernel/extensions from loading)

• Prevents Startup Items and Login Items from opening automatically

• Disables user-installed fonts

• Deletes font caches, kernel cache, and other system cache files
