How do I find formulas or instructions for creating a dynamic invoicing system using numbers?

Depending on what you have in mind, that may be a tall order. Things with the word "system" in them are usually complex. Spreadsheets can do a lot of things but invoicing systems can stretch the limits of what can be done robustly. Maybe if you create some dummy tables showing what you have in mind and what you want it to look like and describe how you want it to work, someone might be able to provide some guidance. The simpler you make it the better. If it is just a bunch of lookups (customer data, item prices), it shouldn't be too hard but it would be helpful to start with something showing what you want.

Yes, it is for customer data, project management, and CRM connectivity if possible.

I’m really new to numbers, unfortunately most of my experience has been with access and excel.  My overall goal is to; limit other applications having access to my customer’s information and keep everything in-house, allow customers to easily see their projects process, mange our projects, see outstanding bills, deliveries, etc. and work with our existing CRM.

I’m trying to find the formulas to automate proposals to invoices, automate numbering invoices, pulling customers info via IDs (sometimes it works other times I receive an error, etc. I’ve created spreadsheets for our project status, customers, suppliers, etc, but I need to create filters. Pricing of items for proposals, invoicing, etc.
