Whenever I receive text messages with videos from certain contacts the sound will not play. I have an iPhone 13 Pro. Other family members with iPhones get the same texts and have sound. If they send the same video to me the sound works. If I save the original text with no sound to Photos, the sound still does not work and has no option to unmute. How do I fix this annoying issue?

Thank you for contacting Apple Support Communities. Based on what you stated, it seems like text message notifications are not being received from only certain contacts. It may be that the conversation is muted. Check to see if the conversation is muted and unmute it.
.When Hide Alerts is on, the Alerts button appears next to the conversation. This stops notifications only for that conversation, not your device. You’ll still receive all other messages and see notifications for them on your Lock screen."

I don’t think that’s what’s being asked. I’m having the same issue too. Whenever I receive a video from an android user via text, the sound does not play. I see this issue being brought up multiple times, and the response is usually a shrug or an unrelated answer.
