Latest upgrade to itunes has created problems

Updated to the latest version for itunes and now 2 things are happening. (1) inserting a new cd does not automatically load to my library (nor does it ask) and (2) my ipod is not recognized as connected when I run diagnostics. The ipod says its connected.

Itunes doesnt recognise my Ipod classic anymore I did a reboot on my Ipod classic as it wasnt responding and now it wont connect to my itunes at all. My computer recognises it as a removable disk but for some reason it wont connect to iTunes. I've tried restarting both my device and laptop, I've tried updating to the latest software and nothing. Has Apple just made it so I cant use my Ipod classic anymore? Or is this actually fixable?

itunes not recognising ipod I have upgraded to itunes Version 12.10.9.3 now my ipod is not being recognised. I have tried restarting and reinstalling itunes. can anyone advise? TIA

Regarding your first issue, check in your Windows Settings to ensure that iTunes is still the default music player.

Windows (infamous) "start" button (or whatever they now call it) and then go to Settings/Apps/Default Apps/Music Player.

Not sure what to suggest for the first issue. For the second try iOS device not showing in iTunes for Windows - Apple Community.
