AirPods hanging up my calls

I recently upgraded from my AirPods first generation to the third generation. Every time I adjust my AirPods in my ears, it hangs up my FaceTime. I have looked at the settings and looked it up online and nothing has worked. My AirPod was starting to fall out of my ear while I was on FaceTime and when I went to adjust it to put it back in, it hung up my FaceTime. And it’s done it every time. Please help!

Samantha, when you adjust your new AirPods, are you inadvertently pressing the stem (one press to answer/hang up)?

Perhaps a simple adjustment on how you handle your new AirPods would help?

I think I’m touching both the stem and the head when I adjust. I don’t really pay attention honestly, wherever feels loose is where I adjust. I’m just confused because this never happened with my old AirPods :(

Certain? Then what is the "muck" that is in it? Just try clearing them out.

There is no muck. They’re literally brand new and today was the first day I used them. Also, your answer had nothing to do with the issue. It’s a settings issue.

B. Verify the Balance:

Go to: Settings
Tap: General
Tap: Accessibility
Scroll Down: to Hearing
Adjust: the audio volume balance

A Power Issue, Perhaps?

Troubleshooting Low-Power/Powerless:

A. A Few Links to Visit:

B. Try the Following Tasks:

Hold Down the Button on the case for about 15 seconds.

Use an Apple Brand Cable - not a third party one - cool though it may look, a fabric, third-part cable would likely tear - (Apple cable's are plastic and are intended for Apple)

Remove the AirPod from the Case, then place it back in the charger. Perhaps it need to resync with he charger.
