Apple TV won’t turn on
my older Apple TV won’t turn on anymore. Any tricks to get it going or is it now a doorstop? Apple TV HD

If the electronics or internal power supply are fried, then no amount of trickery is going to fix that.
Disconnect from power, then reconnect. Normally that should initiate a startup of the device.
If that works, then verify the battery charge, as it may be the remote causing the issue.
