I have just purchased an Akai MPK mini MkIII and want to connect to my iPad Air 3rd Gen but I don’t know what cables/connectors will work. The cable supplied with the MPK mini has a usb at the end and the iPad only has the standard lightning to plug anything into? Appreciate any help.

Yes, MPK Mini MK3 is compatible with your iPad! Connectivity can be achieved using Apple's Lightning > USB 3 Camera Connection Kit (sold separately).
