HomePod Mini

I purchased from Apple the App Connect Speakers & Headphones. Do I need this App to make the HomePod work?

No. See Set up and use HomePod mini and HomePod - Apple Support, and use the https://reportaproblem.apple.com/ pages to request a refund for an app you don't need. Of course it might have some benefit to you anyway, but it isn't an app I'm familiar with.

The only one app you need to setup your HomePod is the home app get your iPhone closer to the HomePod in order to activate follow all settings until it’s complete if you already did the setup then you should reset the HomePod to do it with the home app
