Disappearing translation icons

Hello, some time ago I noticed that the translation button has disappeared in the address bar.

I tried to enter the languages for translation, but nothing the icon does not return.

I live in Italy and when I navigate to sites in other languages nothing happens.

Can anyone help me?

Hey there Tiago212,

Thanks for your reply and further information, it's helpful!

If Translation isn't working within the Safari app, let's quit Safari normally using the Safari menu > Quit Safari. Once it closes completely, hold down the Shift key and relaunch Safari. You can release the Shift key once it opens up completely. This should remove the app's saved state and hopefully solve this issue for you.

In case it doesn't solve it, please partner with Apple Support to further investigate: Get Support

Wishing you well, cheers!

Welcome Tiago212,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. Based on your post, you're missing the translation button within the Safari app for Mac. We'll do our best to help out.

Given your screenshots, it appears that Safari is successfully translating the website that you visited (Apple's site), is that right?

In the Smart Search field, we see there are is another option at the right side with three dots. When you select this, what options do you have exactly?

Are you running Catalina, Big Sur, or Monterey on this Mac? Are you using Private Browsing at all?

This might be able to explain how to use the feature: Translate a webpage in Safari on Mac

Hoping to hear back, take care.
