Flashing widgets

It appears that widgets aren't working as expected, so we'd like to see how we can help. Are all of your widgets flashing? Do they flash if you do anything specific on your iPhone? If you haven't done so already, restart your iPhone. If the issue persists, make sure you're running the latest iOS version that's compatible with your device: Get the latest software updates from Apple. If the issue persists, try removing the affected widgets and adding them again: Use widgets on your iPhone and iPod touch.

iOS 15.2 was recently released, and it's compatible with your iPhone 6s. The best step would be to make sure you have a recent backup, then install the update.
