It's 2021, almost 2022. Why does a transfer stop because of something like duplicate files detected?

I'm transferring something like 7 TB of data off of my RAID5 to a new 16 TB HD. It's suppose to take about 8 hours, on my pretty new iMac running the latest Big Sur OS. 64 gigs of RAM.

It keeps stopping because it detects duplicate files. SO WHAT! I'm a Photographer. There are almost a million files on that array. Of course there are duplicate files. I'm not going to have individual file names that cover 6 digits, taken with probably 20 different cameras!

Who is Apple to force me to organize my files differently. Why are they thinking so small ...

I have to keep starting again. I can't babysit the computer so I only discover the message every once an a while. When I click on OK, my only option ... it stops the transfer and I have to figure out where it stopped, select the rest of the folders and start again ... so 8 hours is turning into 24 hours ... SO FAR.
