Logic Update Stuck

I recently updated my Mac Mini (Late 2014) to Monterey 12.0.1 in order to update to the newest version of Logic Pro (10.7.2). I had no issues with the OS update, but when I tried to update Logic from the App Store, it got to a certain point in the install and wouldn’t progress any further. On Launchpad, Logic said “installing” with a progress bar that showed “1.07 GB of 1.07 GB.” I tried various fixes- restarting my Mac, deleting the App Store cache, etc, before eventually having to reboot in safe mode and stop the download by deleting the app (holding down on the app in Launchpad until an X appears and clicking that). Then I restarted my Mac again and started a new install of the update. Same thing happened and it is now stuck on 1.07 GB of 1.07 GB.


Has anyone else experienced this issue? Should I wait it out? Downgrade to the lowest OS that will run Logic 10.7.2? Try installing while in safe mode? Forget it altogether and use trusty Pro Tools for this project?

Thanks for the Safe Mode suggestion. I had the same exact issue, and failed at the same troubleshooting steps you did, with one added complication - someone tried to be helpful (it's a multi-user machine) and removed Logic to try and unstick the update, which just made it much worse. I was able to remove the update from Launchpad in Safe Mode and actually re-downloading and re-installing libraries in Safe Mode seemed much faster too. Booted normally it's working great again.
