Blank apps in app switcher

When using my iPad Pro (2021) with the magic keyboard, weird blank rectangles appear in the app switcher and i cannot find a way to remove them. Screenshot of issue is attached.

I am assuming that you are not able to use the Trackpad and with Two Fingers to push them off the screen (close them) either.

Try and Force restart iPad

Press and quickly release the volume up button, press and quickly release the volume down button, then press and hold the top button and keep it pressed until Apple logo appears, release the button.
